Your professionalism grade consists of participating in class discussions and activities; reading and responding to other student blogs; demonstrating understanding of the readings; being on time and prepared for class; having required texts, technologies, and materials in class; and avoiding excessive absences.
In addition to the general grading criteria, an A-grade for professionalism is earned when the student meets all requirements for the course and assignments, as well as demonstrates an exceptional level of attentiveness and active participation in class activities. This may include leading discussions, helping other students, offering substantive peer review, and contributing effort beyond the strict requirements of the course.
Optional: You may submit a memo prior to the last day of class proposing your professionalism grade and offering a rationale.
Worth 100 points.
